WHAT IS LOBULOPLASTY?

Lobuloplasty is an outpatient cosmetic procedure performed under local anaesthetic which, via a small incision, allows the lobes of one or both of the patient’s ears to be corrected, repaired or reshaped.

Allows the lobe to be separated, reducing its size or prevent asymmetries in shape easily and quickly. When there is a very large earlobe, or with an shape that is excessively projected, lobuloplasty can correct this condition with very good aesthetic results, through a simple procedure whose scar is concealed in the edge of the lobe.

Another of the most common reasons for undergoing a lobuloplasty are the lobules torn by an enlargement of the earlobe caused by wearing earrings.

The use of dildos for prolonged periods in both men and women a6> in men as well as women who stretch the lobule of the ear deform and damage over time in a way that is apparently irreversible to the ears.

Many women face a problem when, from a young age, they frequently wear heavy earrings, or – due to a lack of information – also wear other types of earrings (such as studs), or opt to have new piercings in an attempt to resolve the issue. In such cases, tearing of the earlobe is very common; if not treated in time, this can worsen or result in the earlobe tearing completely.

How is lobuloplasty performed

Lobuloplasty is an outpatient procedure that takes around one hour and requires only local anaesthesia; the results are immediate, and recovery time is minimal.

There is no discomfort following the procedure; it does not restrict normal activities and allows you to resume your normal life straight away. The stitches are removed after a week, and after 30 days a new piercing can be made for earrings if desired.

Risks associated with lobuloplasty

Earlobe surgery is a procedure that carries very few risks when performed by a surgeon with the necessary knowledge and experience. However, as with any surgical procedure, there may be some bleeding, bruising and swelling, which usually subside within a few days.

During the postoperative period, the following are used: antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and painkillers are used to combat these minor discomforts.
