What is the V-Y technique?
The V-Y technique for lip augmentation is a simple plastic surgery procedure that involves rolling the inner tissue of the lip. First, a V-shaped incision is made just inside the lip to release tension on the mucous membrane. This incision is then sutured in a Y-shape.
This procedure involves rolling up more of the red part of the lip from the inside to increase the size of the outer lip. The procedure requires the application of local anaesthesia to the area to be treated.
