Hair transplant surgeon Dr. Carles Ortiz Rodríguez earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Central University of Barcelona in 1985. Later, in 2002, he obtained the Specialist qualification in General and Digestive Surgery. Throughout his professional career, he has specialised in Hair Medicine and hair transplantation. He currently practises as a hair transplant surgeon, treating and preventing cases of alopecia at the BCI Hair Clinic in Barcelona.

Throughout his academic and professional career, he has taken part in numerous national and international congresses on Hair Medicine and new techniques. Dr. Carles Ortiz Rodríguez has worked in different centres across Europe. As a hair transplant specialist, he has experience with both the classic strip technique (FUSS) and follicular unit extraction (FUE).
